Mateo Correa is a Freshman at the New York University, Playwright Horizons Program.

He just graduated from the Denver School of the Arts in Denver, Colorado. Where he portrayed Mortimer in "Failure: A Love Story," Lumiere in the DSA all-school musical production of "Beauty and the Beast," and Kuriatin and Potchatkin in Neil Simon's "The Good Doctor." Other DSA performances include "Avenue Q", "Almost Maine", "42nd Street", "Wintertime", "Museum", "The Moon is Down", "Thoroughly Modern Millie", as well as Dramaturge for the all female production of "Hamlet."

Mateo qualified for the 2012, 2013 and 2014 National Thespian Convention, where he has received a Superior Duet Acting Award.

Mateo portrayed Tybalt in a "Glee" version of
"Romeo and Juliet" at the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland in August 2013.

Mateo is a circus performer, proficient in juggling sharp thing and things on fire, giraffe unicycling, clowning and trapeze.

Mateo has also performed at the Denver Center for Performing Arts, and the Denver Victorian Playhouse, in "Richard III" and "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" respectively.
He has attended the Curious New Voices playwriting workshop in which two of his plays ("Thicker than Water" and "My Sister Michelle") have been professionally staged. He also has film, television, radio, print, and music video credits.
